You need a BlackOak account to pay a BlackOak shop. There is no guest checkout.
The account is opened in your own name. Before your first purchase we verify your identity as the law and our partner bank require. You connect the checking account you will pay from, and we fill in what we can from it, such as your date of birth and the last four digits of your Social Security number. You confirm the details. If we cannot verify you that way, we ask for your full Social Security number. No money moves and no account opens until your identity is verified.
Once you are verified, you do not need to verify again for later purchases.
