You apply in the BlackOak merchant portal. We look your business up and fill in what we can; you confirm it, add every owner with 25% or more and the person who controls the business, and accept the agreements.
We verify the business and its owners as the law and our partner bank require. Each owner may be asked for a photo of a US identity document and a selfie.
A clean application can be approved straight away at the Standard tier. Any other approval starts at Foundation, and some applications go to a person for review.
After approval, you link your business bank account in the portal. That is where your payouts go.
